**How will this role support our team?**

The incumbent plans, implements, conducts and coordinates of all aspects of institutional and applied research with a focus on immigration, professional practice, policy and education to enhance the College’s knowledge of the industry and its impact locally, nationally and globally to provide expertise to the organization.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to)*
- Supervise the operations of the Unit. Develop and execute on the Unit’s strategy and provide leadership, mentorship and management of the team.
- The incumbent supervises the development, validity and reliability of instruments (e.g., examinations and assessments) that measure knowledge, skills and competencies for educational, certification, licensing and professional credentialing purposes.
- Plan, implement, coordinate, conduct and report on institutional and applied research initiatives to support strategic planning, program planning, members services and institutional effectiveness.
- Support the development of evaluation and performance management tools (e.g., surveys) to assess the extent and effectiveness of the College’s impact on applicants/licensees and the public interest.
- Prepare periodic reports for institutional units, federal agencies and other stakeholders regarding membership trends, operational research outputs, licensing and credential outcomes, and impact on Canada’s immigration recovery.

**This role will support our team by providing**:

- Knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.
- Analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills to oversee multiple research projects and shape the College’s future research plans, delivering ground-breaking new research.

- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced changing environment as a collaborative team player who demonstrates initiative.
- Interpersonal and stakeholder relationship management skills to engage others, work effectively in a team, build credibility and suggest ideas.

- Project management skills to manage research projects and ensure timely completion of all deliverables.

**Required Education and Experience**
- University Degree (Ph.D.) in research methods, measurement, evaluation, social sciences, education or related field.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in institutional and/or applied research, applied measurement or statistical analysis.
- Experience contributing to all phases of research projects, from developing workplans to preparing products for knowledge dissemination.
- Experience developing assessment frameworks, exams and psychometric analysis.
- Bilingual in French and English is an asset.
