**Overview**:
Reporting to the Garden Project Coordinator, Cultivation in Acheson, AB, the Junior Gardener is responsible for the care and growth lifecycle of cannabis plants within a licensed facility.
The Gardener performs tasks to support growing processes including but not limited to cloning, pruning, defoliation, and transplanting ensuring production of high quality, healthy and prolific cannabis plants.
The Gardener maintains a clean healthy and pleasant environment where plants and people can grow.
The Gardener may also be required to be generally available to assist in other areas of the production process and the business.
**Scope of Role**:
- Supports the Cultivation Manager and Cultivation Team Leads to manage healthy cannabis plant growth
- Manage and account for all inventory and supplies
- Supports cultivation leaders to develop and/or maintain grow protocols, nutrient regiment
- Follow all company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain compliance with Health Canada regulations
- Diligently follows SOPs in accordance with GPP guidelines
- Maintain concise daily records and ensure documentation is accessible and organized in a compliant manner as per QA guidelines
- Able to learn new techniques to expand knowledge in nutrient of individual strains, high yield recipes, controlled stress environments to different lighting systems and set ups
- Perform in the cleaning and sanitization of production areas by following established Standard Operating Procedures
- Handle the cleaning and sanitizing of required harvest equipment and facility according to Standard Operating Procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Assist with additional tasks as assigned
**Knowledge and Experience**:
- Horticultural or science education is preferred but not required
- Commercial garden experience is an asset
- Knowledge of large-scale commercial plant cultivation including nutrient requirements, mediums, light requirements, temperature control, air flow, _etc_. is an asset
**Required Competencies**:

- Solid team player who promotes a culture of professionalism, integrity, quality and teamwork
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Physical aptitude necessary to perform tasks required to assist in proper plant care for a 10 hour shift period
- Ability to possess or successfully obtain Health Canada’s Security Clearance under the Cannabis Act is an asset
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $17.00-$18.00 per hour

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift

- Monday to Friday
