- success of the organization. The Corporate Controller will work in a dynamic environment where strong judgment, professionalism, and confidentiality are required in the daily interactions amongst internal and external stakeholders. The Corporate Controller will lead and/or provide assistance in all aspects of full cycle accounting, reporting and forecasting.

**Job Duties**:

- Assist with the implementation of business intelligence software and develop daily sales, operations, and farm KPI real-time reporting.
- Provide analysis for and assist in preparing financial presentations for senior leadership meetings.
- Lead the preparation of all quarterly Board reporting packages.
- Assist with the co-ordination and execution of the Company’s annual audit.
- Assist with the preparation of the Company’s external consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP.
- Work with executives from all departments to assist in the development of the annual budget, long-term strategic plan and preparing monthly rolling reforecasts etc.
- Work with the Director of Finance to ensure the management information systems provide useful and meaningful information on which operating and strategic decisions can be made.
- Make recommendations where required to improve control processes within the Company.
- Assist in the formulation of internal controls, reports, and policies to comply with regulations and development of best practices.
- Manage and develop internal inventory controls.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements in compliance with U.S. GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Assist in the preparation of budgets, budget to actual, and MD&A summaries.
- Assist in the completion of internal and external audits.
- Manage journal entries and review of ledger accounts and ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasting along with reporting of results.
- Assist in the development and refinement of KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators).
- Develop and refine reports for management and/or regulatory bodies.
- Identify and assist in the implementation of strategic recommendations to improve profitability.
- Review accounts and ledgers to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances.
- Utilize the company’s ERP software to develop improved processes.
- Special projects as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Must have a Charted Professional Accountant (CPA) designation.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years related experience.
- Proven experience as an assistant controller or other similar position.
- Solid knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and cannabis regulations.
- Superior oral and written communication, interpersonal, analytical, decision-making, and organizational skills.
- Ability to multi-task and handle a variety of responsibilities while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to demonstrate discretion and sound judgement while always maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Strong initiative, ability to plan and anticipate deliverables, evaluate possible impacts, and make recommendations or action/improvement.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 will be considered an asset.
- Must be a highly motivated, service-oriented, and team-oriented self-starter who can take a task and run with it.
- Valid Police Verification Check or ability to obtain one required.
