Identification Technician

**INTRODUCTION**

Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services.

We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team.

**WHAT OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR**:

- Ensure access control policies and procedures are followed and client property is secured
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong Customer Service Orientation.
- Intermediate to advance knowledge of Office productivity tools such as Excel, Word and database programs such as File Maker Pro or equivalent
- Must be Tech Savvy and a quick learner on all computer and Internet related programs
- Must possess a strong PC background and be able to fix minor issues with hardware/software
- Must be bondable and able to handle cash and operate Credit Card and Debit machines
- Thorough knowledge of Commissionaires Policy and Procedures
- Exceptional interpersonal and Customer Service skills are a must along with strong organizational skills
- A high degree of self-motivation and initiative with the ability to operate effectively with mínimal or no supervision
- Works accurately with close attention to detail.
- Must be able to obtain Reliability clearance
- A minimum of 2-year experience in a service delivery environment, i.e. Retail Sales Clerk, Customer Service Help Desk, Hotel Front Desk or equivalent is preferred
- Criminal Justice background or equivalent education is a plus
- Ability to exercise discretion in handling of sensitive (classified) information.

- Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
- Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, with emphasis on intermediate to advanced level of excel
- Fingerprinting/ technical background
- Reliabilty Level Clearance
- Strong working knowledge of computer systems
- Positive attitude and ability to provide excellent customer service
- Highly degree of analytical, problem solving skills and logic-based thinking.
- Work well under pressure
- Ability to multi-task
- Takes pride in your dress, deportment and performance at all times
