**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
The Dock Hand will assist with daily boat reservations at the Outer Harbour Marina site.

**DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Prepare and up-keep the vessels at the start of the day and in between member reservations
- Clean and organize the docks and all working areas
- Take necessary safety precautions when handling tools and equipment or working during difficult conditions (i.e. wavy and windy weather on the docks)
- Practice workplace safety in accordance to provincial and federal safety legislation, as well as the use of good common sense. Report any potential or existing hazards and unsafe behavior to management
- Assist customers in all aspects from online bookings and inquires to boarding off and on the vessels
- Follow proper procedures during customer transactions
- Perform vessel check-out and check-in procedures
- Manage safety equipment
- Report vessel parts shortages, theft, and damages to management

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Must obtain your official Transport Canada Pleasure Craft Operator Card (PCOC)
- Must be able to work independently and communicate effectively with customers, management, and staff
- Must be available to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays
- Must have the ability to read and comprehend written and printed materials, as well as information presented in numerical form
- Must be physically capable of lifting and moving items, such as gas jerry cans, weighing up to 45 lbs
