**Job Duties/Responsibilities**
- Use their vast understanding of the area and large network of contacts to establish a construction team.
- Start up construction projects, assign team members, ensure successful execution, budget and schedule adherence.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Oversee estimates for project scope of work, including labor, supplies, materials and other costs.
- Review contracts and bids.
- Drive cost-effective strategies yet take calculated risks to establish a viable project.
- Ensure safety standards are being met and when possible exceeded.
- Lead direct and indirect reports - ensure proper mentoring, training, performance management and when necessary discipline is taking place.
**Education/Skills/Qualifications**
- Minimum of 15 + years of Superintendent or Construction Manager experience leading large scale mechanical, industrial or civil projects.
- Strong trades background and understanding of the scope of work at hand.
- Knowledge of employment standards, OH&S Regulations, permitting, and WCB requirements.
- Entrepreneurial mindset.
- Excellent communicator and negotiator.
- Well known in the community and industry.
- Good computer skills required. e.g. Bluebeam, P6, Excel, Gmail, Google Drive, google calendar, gmail, etc. We are a Google based company.
- A demonstrated background in team leadership with a focus on worksite safety.
