Dog Daycare Attendant

Calling all animal lovers Are you passionate about dogs and looking to work in a fun and rewarding environment? The Hound Lounge is seeking a dedicated Part-Time Dog Handler to join our team. As a Dog Handler, you will be responsible for supervising and interacting with dogs in our care, ensuring their safety, well-being, and overall happiness.
**Responsibilities**:
- Supervise dogs during playtime and ensure a safe and clean environment.
- Engage with dogs in play activities, and basic training exercises.
- Monitor dog behaviour and health, reporting any concerns to management.
- Maintain cleanliness of play areas, including cleaning up after dogs and sanitizing surfaces.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing inquiries and ensuring a positive experience.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience working with dogs is preferred but not required.
- Must be comfortable handling dogs of all sizes and breeds.
- Ability to work well in a team environment and independently.
- Strong communication skills and a passion for working with animals.
- Availability to work flexible hours.
- A great problem solver because every dog and every day is unique.
- Computer skills are a must as well as good maths skills to ensure checkout goes smoothly.
- Must be comfortable using social media.
- High school or higher education.
- Have your own vehicle.

This job is PHYSICALLY and MENTALLY DEMANDING. Working with dogs in a daycare setting requires employees to pay attention to detail, be quick-thinking, and have physical endurance (to walk, lift, and clean).
