**Description of Duties and Responsibilities**:
The Housekeeper reports directly to the Building and Safety Coordinator. The housekeeper adheres to ethical standards in all activities relating to this job description.

The housekeeper will be responsible for daily maintenance duties with a focus on the outside of the of the George Spady Centre. These responsibilities include sanitation, waste management, building organization and keeping the building clean. The housekeeper will be expected to work well in a team environment and follow the policies and procedures of the George Spady Society.

The housekeeper will work closely with the Building and Safety Coordinator to ensure all the buildings maintenance needs are being met. The housekeeper will be expected to:

- Participate in ongoing learning and training opportunities as identified on yearly performance review.
- Adhere to the George Spady Society Code of Ethics
- Work collaboratively with the MDU, POD, and SCS teams
- Interact with clients in a non-judgmental way.
- Perform daily cleaning duties.
- Maintain open communication with all teams.
- Attend staff meetings as required.
- Any other tasks assigned by the maintenance supervisor.

**Hours of work**:Casual Shifts from 4-8 hours, weekdays, weekends

**Position Requirements**
- High-school education
- Basic understanding of harm reduction principles based on dignity, hope and healing as individuals move forward towards improved health and well-being.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- An open, accepting, and non-judgmental attitude
- Strong knowledge on universal precautions
- Current Police Information and Vulnerable Sector Check
- CPR, First Aid, AED, and WHMIS certification.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: From $21.00 per hour
