A Logistics Coordinator enables Searcy Trucking Ltd. to book freight more freely as we are not limited solely by the capacity of our fleet. Through partner carrier relationships, we can supply our clients with greater capacity than Searcy alone.
The Logistics Coordinator will solicit freight, negotiate the best rates with partner carriers to maximize margins, build up a large partner carrier base to get the best value on lanes, dispatch and update Truck Mate on loads, and meet or exceed monthly gross profit targets. Grow the business by establishing key customer accounts and relationships.

Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities

Ensure the following items are executed with great success and detail

1) Load Brokering:

- Confirm and negotiate rates based on carrier information.
- Locate Partner Carriers to handle excess loads from operations.
- Manage the load details with customers for brokered loads.
- Ensure customers are provided accurate and timely load information.
- Maintain accurate / update information in Truck Mate for all brokered loads.

2) Partner Carrier Management:

- Establish strong relationships with Partner carriers.
- Manage carrier information with regards to insurance and claims.
- Communicate load information to Partner Carriers.
- Grow the Partner Carrier data base.

3) Customer Support:

- Communicate Customer required order updates.
- Schedule pickup and delivery appointments as applicable.
- Ensuring all pertinent documents are obtained and imaged to orders via TMW imaging.
- Supporting order acceptance and accurate load entry.

4) Other Items:

- Strong ability to understand and use dispatch software
- Desire to grow the book of business.
- Self-motivator and starter.
