Human Resources Business Partner

We are a trucking and courier company looking for Senior Human Resources Business Partner to advise and assist with Employee related matters.
Recruitment & Personnel:
- Developing and maintaining relationships with college and university placement offices
- Creation and publicizing of job descriptions based on department need.
- Full cycle recruitment of various roles, including drivers, dispatchers, admin support and Shipper/ Receiver support
- Interviewing and offer letter creation.
- On-boarding process checklist and data management of employee files.
- Administrating and delivering performance appraisals with all employees.
- Completion of ROE preparation, closing employee files post-termination (electronic and physical files).
- Administering and presenting disciplinary action, including employment probationary periods, employment status changes, and employment terminations.
- Maintaining employee files as to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Maintaining new hire, employee, and absentee reports using the HRIS
- UKG Kronos experience considered an asset.
Support:
- Resolving employment requests and concerns, including payroll support and vacation scheduling.
- Reconciling and assisting with inquiries pertaining to payroll, benefits, and other HR programs including Safety Training.
- Assisting with administering employee benefit plans.
- Supporting Safety & Compliance colleagues.
- Prepare and process WSIB claims, Medical Leave etc.
- HRIS Support
General:
- Designing, implementing and facilitating human resources processes and procedures based on operational and organizational needs.
- Acting as a liaison between employees and management.
- Investigating inefficiencies and operational issues and preparing corrective action plans
- Designing internal processes, trainings and procedures tailored to increase productivity, employee morale, professionalism, effectiveness and uniformity of customer service.
- Coordinating all employee incentive programs
In addition to serving as the point of contact, the Human Resources Representative is expected to lead company initiatives such as holiday events, organize the calendar respective to employee birthdays, vacation schedule and safety trainings.
Qualifications:
- Post
- Secondary education in Human Resources
- Progressive professional experience with recruitment and general operational support
- Current member of the HRPA
- CHRP/ CHRL designation an asset
- Exceptional verbal and written business communication
- Experience with team leadership, partnerships, and collaborative work efforts
- Ethical and responsible business decisions
- Previous logistics experience an asset
**Salary**: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
