Arborist Assistant

Nootka Tree Care, a family-run business based in Cochrane, is seeking a part-time Arborist Apprentice/Grounds Person to join our team. As an Arborist Apprentice, you will work alongside our experienced ISA certified arborist, learning valuable skills and techniques for tree care, maintenance, and removal.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assisting with tree pruning, removal, and maintenance tasks
- Operating and maintaining equipment and tools
- Ensuring a safe work environment for yourself and others
- Completing paperwork and other administrative tasks as needed
- Participating in on-the-job training and learning opportunities

**Requirements**:

- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Reliable
- Willingness to learn and follow safety protocols
- Good physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects
- Previous experience in landscaping, groundskeeping, or related field is an asset, but not required

Part time 1-2 days a week

Wage $18 - $25/hr based on experience

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 10-20 per week

**Salary**: $18.00-$25.00 per hour
