Our North American team is growing rapidly. We are looking for an proactive and enthusiastic **_Marketing and Business Development Assistant_**_, _with a specific focus on the Chinese market, to join our team. In this role, you will be a pivotal part of enhancing our Chinese marketing initiatives in Canada, supporting_ the growth of upcoming marketing initiatives_, and_ helping us expand our presence._
- This role is responsible for effective local marketing initiatives through researching, designing, and executing marketing strategy across content creation, local partnership outreach, public relations, and more. _
**What are the main responsibilities for this role?**
- This role will be focused on developing and furthering Crimson's Chinese market presence in Canada by assisting with Chinese marketing initiatives
- Developing Chinese marketing assets, such as blogs, websites, marketing brochures, videos, case studies, webinar content, sales templates, and resources for students
- Organizing and supporting the end-to-end planning, execution, and optimization of webinars and other related events
- Managing WeChat group promotions and respond to questions. Contribute to the creation of offline and online marketing content to increase brand awareness, create a positive customer experience, and increase conversions
- Assisting with outreach tactics, including expos, seminars, school talks, and related events. Support webinar coordinating and logistics.
- Supporting Chinese partnership building efforts by researching and finding contact information of potential partners and media channels, and establishing relevant partnerships
**What skills and experience are required?**
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing, communications, business, or a related field.
- Proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese reading, writing, and editing skills are essential
- 2+ years of experience of Chinese content writing and/or Chinese social media management, experience in creating content for WeChat public account and Little Red Book will be preferred
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills
- Experience in the education sector and/or knowledge in university admissions (US & UK as priority) will be preferred but not required
- Background in college consulting or have a network of education industry contacts/parent groups will be a strong plus
- Experience with Canva and a basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is a strong plus. Basic command of video editing software, such as CapCut, is preferred but not mandatory
- Creative thinking and project management skills - You love exploring new ideas and can see a project through from start to finish on time.
- Professionalism, confidence, positive attitude, willingness to learn and go the extra mile. A team player and independent worker who does not require hand-holding
- Strong organization skills and high learning agility and growth mindset - comfort in a fast-paced, high-growth and creative environment
