**About Us**:
We are a busy, high-quality woodshop specializing in custom cabinetry and woodworking projects. We pride ourselves on our craftsmanship and attention to detail, ensuring every piece is a perfect blend of form and function. As we continue to grow, we are looking for dedicated Cabinet Sanders to join our team and contribute to the finishing process of our custom wood products.
The Cabinet Sander will be responsible for sanding wood pieces to prepare them for finishing. This role is crucial to ensuring a smooth, flawless surface that meets our high standards of quality and requires previous experience. You will work closely with our team of carpenters and finishers in a fast-paced environment.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Sand wood surfaces on cabinets, doors, and other wood products
- Inspect wood pieces for imperfections and prepare surfaces for finishing (painting, staining, etc.).
- Maintain quality control to ensure smooth, even surfaces free of defects.
- Communicate with carpenters and finishers to meet project specifications and deadlines.
- Operate sanding machines, hand sanders, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Clean and maintain the sanding area, ensuring tools and materials are organized.
**Qualifications**:
- Previous experience in a woodshop or cabinetry environment.
- Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for imperfections.
- Experience using hand and power sanders, as well as other woodshop tools.
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and handle physical labor.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
