Location: Victoria, British Columbia
Reporting to: Superintendent

Compensation: $35.80-$42.00/hr + 11.5% vacation pay, Union pension and benefits

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage crew, equipment, and subtrades to cohesively complete a project
- Collaborate with Superintendent, Project Management, and Clients to ensure all aspects of the project are completed as expected
- Reading engineering drawings, coordinating the days tasks, and managing paperwork
- Leader in health and safety as well as company culture
- Planning for the work ahead and communicating requirements to Superintendent and Project Management
- Working with the crew for all operations including earthworks, excavation, underground utilities, and surface work preparation

**Skills and Experience**:

- 5+ years of experience in Civil Construction in a similar role
- Ability to lead, motivate, and promote growth within your crew
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
- Familiar with excavations, preparing sites to grade, and installation of sewer, storm, water, streetlighting, hydro, shaw, and telus utilities
- In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, specifications, equipment, and OH&S guidelines
- CCA Gold Seal, an asset
- High level of integrity, confidentially, and accountability
- Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
- Effective verbal and written communication skills

**Requirements**:

- Must have a current and valid Class 5 driver’s license
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
