We are looking to hire Plain Clothes Security Guard to assist our many retail clients. This is an ideal opportunity for a dynamic individual starting their law enforcement career or a seasoned professional. The Investigators Group will provide training to help you be successful.

**Position Summary**

As a loss prevention deterrent guard/officer, you will play a critical role in detecting and preventing shoplifters, minimizing the financial loss of retail items related to theft, and writing incidents and prevention reports. You will also have frequent interactions with local law enforcement authorities, working collaboratively to ensure the safety and security of our client's retail locations.

To be successful in this role, you must possess strong observational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

Additionally, you must have excellent communication skills and be able to work closely with local law enforcement officials. We will provide you with comprehensive training to help you succeed in this role and achieve your career goals.

**Date & Timings - 8th Aug 2023 : 9AM to 4:00 PM**

**Interview Location - 510, 130 Queens Quay W, ON M5J 2N8**

Guard Duties:

- Patrol and monitor premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
- Perform security checks of designated areas, including buildings, parking lots, and equipment.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to identify potential security threats.
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances.
- Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
- Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner.
- Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Conduct routine inspections of access points and secure areas.

Qualifications:

- Have an existing security license.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position preferably in commercial sites and stores.
- Knowledge of security operations and procedures.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and other security equipment.
- Excellent observation skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
- Physical fitness to perform the duties required (standing for long periods, walking, climbing stairs).
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.

**Salary**: $16.50-$20.00 per hour
