Carleton Place, Canada Heritage Community Fitness & Rehabilitation Centre Full time

**Position: Kinesiologist**

The Collaborative Care Centre at Heritage Community Fitness & Rehabilitation Centre is a welcoming, client-centered integrative health care clinic with a relaxed and professional work environment. We have served our beautiful community since 2007 and are passionate about empowering individuals to take control of their health. We offer tailored treatments that focus on positive outcomes.

We're looking for a kinesiologist who embodies our core values of integrity, respect, kindness, and compassion. Our health care team works collaboratively to meet client needs. Active listening skills, confidence, and flexibility are vital characteristics of our practitioners.

Our facility is thriving. Our integrative health care services include chiropractic, concussion management, counselling, exercise rehabilitation, naturopathy, nutritional services, personal training, physiotherapy, paediatric physiotherapy, pelvic floor therapy, registered massage therapy, and prenatal massage therapy.

We’re located in Carleton Place, Ontario -- one of Canada's fastest-growing communities -- just a 25-minute drive from Ottawa, Perth, and Smiths Falls.

**About the Role**

Your initial focus will be to support one of our established physiotherapists. This eight-week phase will involve treating clients, guiding them through exercise therapy, and supporting their physical rehabilitation.

The second phase allows you to focus on building your own practice, whether that be as a rehabilitation specialist, personal trainer, strength and conditioning coach, or a combination of these services.

This is an independent contractor position with ample opportunity to grow your practice.

**Responsibilities**
- Provide physical therapy modalities such as hands-on soft tissue treatment, exercise rehabilitation, kinesiology taping, and manual therapy (training and support is provided by a licensed physical therapist).
- Empower clients through education and personalized treatment recommendations.
- Collaborate with other health care practitioners at the clinic.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of treatment rooms.

**Requirements**:

- Valid registration with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Personal training certification is an asset.

**What We Offer**

We want you to focus on client care. By working with us, you work in a professional environment with:

- Access to our established client base and referral network.
- Flexible scheduling options to accommodate the needs of your practice and support a healthy work-life balance.
- Professional support staff to book appointments, process invoices, and collect payments.
- Web-based scheduling software with paperless treatment notes.
- Furnished treatment room.
- Marketing support.
- Two complimentary fitness memberships.

**Integrative Health Care**
We believe that good health is a combination of factors - one that includes both fitness and rehabilitation. Our facility combines a state-of-the-art fitness centre and physical rehabilitation clinic under one roof.

This approach to health allows our clients, practitioners, and personal trainers the opportunity to make exercise therapy a vital component in recovery from injury and build sustainable treatment programs. This unifies what is often a fragmented effort in the rehabilitation industry and creates positive outcomes for clients. Learn more about us at heritagefitness.ca.
