Yard Manager

**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Supervise daily yard operations, ensuring compliance with safety standards and company policies.
- Manage inventory levels, including shipping and receiving processes to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Oversee order picking activities, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in material handling.
- Operate heavy equipment as needed, including forklifts and clamp trucks, while adhering to safety protocols.
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and yard conditions to maintain a safe working environment.
- Train and mentor yard staff on best practices in warehouse operations and heavy lifting techniques.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate logistics and improve operational efficiency.
- Build strong relationships with team members to foster a positive work environment.

**Qualifications**
- Proven experience in warehouse distribution or similar roles is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts and clamp trucks is essential.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing inventory and orders.
- Strong communication skills to effectively lead a team and collaborate with other departments.

Pay: $25.07-$26.53 per hour
