Quality Technician

Markdom International has a proven history of producing world-class custom injection-molded products for the automotive and consumer goods industries. We have the capability to produce an extensive variety of products with our state-of-the-art in-house injection mold design and build capabilities, coupled with the latest injection molding process technologies.
Markdom is looking for a dynamic individual to join our team as a **Quality Technician**
**Duties**:
- Coordinate and maintain all Quality Assurance activities associated with the documented Quality System in accordance to IATF 16949 and customer requirements.
- Prepare PPAP documents required by the Quality Engineers
- Active participation in process analysis, Continuous Improvements, APQP Teams, new/changed process /product validation and Design Reviews
- Conduct DOE and statistical analyses as required
- Assist in gage calibration
- Daily Scheduled Shipping Dock Audit
- Quality Audits or 100% inspection of Finish Products as required
- Participate in Creation of Control Plans, PFMEA’s, Process Flow Diagrams, Process and
- Inspection Plans, Packaging Layouts.
- Assist in determining disposition of non-conforming product and/or material.
- Review and removal of and storage of all quality records and masters
- Daily production floor support: Check the work station to make sure the material and subcomponents are ok, PIP given, Operator trained, part is checked on the gage, first offs are issued, LPAs are completed by operators and team leaders
- Creating and following up on the following processes through to closure: NCRs, MDRs, CCNs, CARS
- Maintains all Markdom gages so that they are in calibration, clean and functional at all times
- Fulfil Quality Assurance Inspectors activities as required.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum 1 - 2 years’ experience with plastic industry preferable in the automotive industry
- University or College degree in a Quality or Engineering related field
- Experience in the following process NCRs, MDRs, CCNs, CARS will be an asset
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Excellent computer skill. High level of proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office suite
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
**Salary**: From $20.00 per hour
