**Responsibilities**
- Responsible for managing the mobilisation and implementation of Ottawa Stage 2 maintenance project Team; including Engineering, Operations and Purchasing. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the project.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

**Your main missions will include**:

- Be the primary contact with RTM for project issues. Manage the day-to-day relationship with RTM. Negotiates with RTM and manages the process to respond to all correspondence
- Cost and submit VOs to RTM for divergencies from the as-bid position
- Identify risks and develop solutions to mitigate them to avoid a negative impact to the maintenance project
- Identify opportunities to improve the commercial position of Alstom and expand our scope
- Co-ordinate testing and commissioning activities with the constructors
- Develop a structured and methodical handover process from the Constructor through to the maintainer
- Determine time frame, budget, and procedures for accomplishing various phases of project;
- Ensure EHS and Environmental obligations are met;
- Establish work plan and staffing for each phase of project, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of project personnel;
- Confer with project staff to outline work plan and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority;
- Direct and coordinates activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule, the activities & responsibilities in the Project Agreement are achieved and within the prescribed budget;
- Ensure all Work Packages are reviewed on a regular basis to identify and resolve issues;
- Prepare project reports for management, client, or others;
- Ensure that Alstom meets the Availability and Quality criteria set in the Project Agreement;

Mandatory:

- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Science or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years Project management experience, preferably in mobilizing maintenance operations;
- Minimum 2 years experience in working at a high level with Client management and Transit/ Government Agencies;
- Minimum 2 years experienced in control of operational budgets - financially astute;
- Minimum 2 years experienced in managing processes such as PMP, Project Review;
- Experience of working as a company representative to the client, and making decisions on behalf of the company
- Experience in identifying risks and solving problems and implementing mitigation actions
- Experience in creating opportunities to enhance and improve project operations and finances
- Experience in detailed project planning, and governing adherence to the plan
- Fluent in English (oral and writing)

Desirable:

- Knowledge of Rail Vehicle and/or Infrastructure environment is preferable
- Working knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety standards
- Proficient in the use of MS Office, SAP, Sharepoint
- Knowledge of rail and public transit operations is an asset;
