About your team

FIL’s Workplace and Personal Financial Health business has embarked on an ambitious journey of growth and transformation, aligned to our 2030 goal to build a $500bn business by becoming the partner of choice for an individual’s and family’s financial needs. To guide us on this journey we are bringing together a consolidated change agenda with 3 portfolios: Grow / Transform / Defend; and reflecting our business priorities: building global multi-national partnerships, creating lifetime relationships with individuals, and driving a significant transformation agenda to deliver value to clients faster. To support this ambitious programme of work, a WPFH Portfolio Office has been created with oversight of all change across WPFH.

About your role

Reporting to the Head of Planning and Portfolio Management, the Planning Lead will build and maintain a single integrated plan for the WPFH change and transformation portfolio.- Build, manage, track and continually evolve the integrated plan for the WPFH change and transformation portfolio, including dependencies and sequencing.- Ensure transparency over the portfolio plan and communicate it widely across the business. Ensure there is a high level of stakeholder engagement with the plan. Ensure the plan supports WPFH-wide priorities- Support and facilitate the WPFH Quarterly big room planning sessions in partnership with Transformation colleagues.- Identify and actively manage portfolio dependencies and support the Change Control / Triage lead- Actively seek out opportunities to identify synergies in the plan, remove duplication, and improve the overall efficiency of the plan to deliver maximum client and business value.- Support PMO colleagues to build the WPFH-wide resourcing plan to support delivery of the portfolio, identify bottlenecks and resourcing challenges, and plan and implement strategies to address these.- Defining and embed good planning processes and standards across the portfolio, and making sure projects comply with company-wide standards- Enable informed decision-making, by providing full visibility of the portfolio plan- As the WPFH Transformation journey continues, support the transition from a project and programme-based delivery model towards a cross-functional team model where more change is delivered via persistent customer value teams aligned to the client journey. Working with colleagues across the Transformation team, adapt the planning processes as required to support this transition over time.

About you- Prior experience of PMO and governance and reporting on major change portfolios and programmes an advantage.- Strong programme and project management skills. Preferably PRINCE 2 (or similar) qualified.- Excellent analytical and data skills- Experience of working on large and complex change programmes in the financial services industry.- Experience of engaging / communicating with senior stakeholders. Proven ability to communicate and work with all levels of personnel.- Experience of working with multiple resource teams and third parties.- Negotiation and Influencing skills.- Experience of presenting at Steering and project meetings.- Self-motivated, a proactive approach with an analytical, enquiring mind and willingness to learn. Ability to analyse issues and produce innovative solutions.- Ability to work on own initiative to achieve objectives and goals, requesting support when and where required.- Strong sense of ownership with ability to work on challenging issues and overcome constraints and obstacles.- Promote teamwork and demonstrate best practices on delivery of service, both internally and externally- Flexible and positive attitude - with “can-do” approach, a self-starter that “can think on your feet”- Dynamic attitude with a strong desire to improve and make things happen- Able to work in a fast moving, dynamic, rapidly changing environment- Able to work effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines- Must have Change Management experience, with hands-on experience of a range of change management roles and business areas being desirable- Knowledge of project and programme methodologies including Agile & Waterfall type project/ programme management- Analytical and logic skills
