Service Writer

Diamond Construction and Gravel Ltd. is a civil contractor operating since 1964. In our fifty-nine years of operation, Diamond has grown into one of largest heavy construction companies in southeast Manitoba, specializing in heavy construction and aggregate production.

Diamond Construction provides a work environment, strongly influenced by a core set of principals that values people first.
- Liaison with drivers and equipment operators to provide timely repairs to their assigned equipment.
- Keep accurate record of all work orders, including time spent and parts and supplies needed.
- Schedule regular maintenance and repair, by working with department managers to provide the least amount of job interruptions.
- Maintain parts inventory.
- Source parts as needed through our chain of suppliers.
- Keep accurate records of PO’s issued and the timely forwarding of invoices to AP.

**Requirements**:

- Valid Class 5 driver’s license, Class 1 or 3 with airbrake endorsement an asset.
- A clear commercial abstract, or less than three moving violations within three years.
- Possess a Professional attitude / Able to work well with others as a member of a team.
- Able to multi-task and maintain attention to detail
- Capable of following directions.
- Willing to work extra hours to get time sensitive project completed.
- Compliance with our Safety Program (Diamond is a COR certified company)

**Work Conditions**:

- Majority of work performed indoors in a fully equipped shop.
- Outdoor work as required, conditions may include heat, cold, rain, dust and noise.
- Work can be physically demanding.

**Salary**: $20.00-$27.00 per hour

- 10 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

- Steinbach, MB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- service advisor: 2 years (preferred)
- Customer service: 2 years (preferred)
