As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented In-House Estimator to join our team and support our estimating department.

As an In-House Estimator at Alpha Building Supply, you will play a vital role in our estimating team, responsible for accurately assessing project costs through detailed analysis of blueprints and construction documents. You will work closely with architects, contractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information and provide comprehensive take-offs for pricing and bidding purposes. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to our company's success and work on a diverse range of construction projects.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct thorough and accurate take-offs from blueprints and construction drawings to determine quantities of materials required for projects.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and suppliers to gather project specifications and clarify any ambiguities.
- Analyze and interpret construction documents, specifications, and addenda to ensure accurate and comprehensive estimating.
- Research and source pricing for materials and labor, ensuring competitive and cost-effective estimates.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
- Collaborate with the sales and project management teams to develop competitive bids and proposals.
- Review and compare estimates against project scopes to identify potential discrepancies or opportunities for value engineering.
- Stay updated with industry trends, market conditions, and material pricing to maintain accuracy in estimating.
- Participate in post-bid and pre-construction meetings to provide insights and clarification on estimating aspects.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, with a focus on blueprint take-offs.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting construction blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and industry standards.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in using estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff, Planswift, etc.).
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Experience working on a variety of construction projects, including residential and commercial.
- Familiarity with building codes and regulations.
- Relevant certifications or educational background in construction management or a related field is a plus.

**Salary**: $50,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
