Covid-19 Tester

Maple Villa Long Term Care Centre is an accredited 93 bed home located in Burlington near the shores of Lake Ontario. The COVID-19 Tester will report to the Director of Care and is responsible for the onsite COVID-19 Testing including conducting swabbing, gathering and recording medical information, delivering test results and following all public health requirements. For the successful applicant, on-site training will be provided.

**Responsibilities**:

- Plan, organize and administer COVID-19 tests on staff as required by Public Health by utilizing rapid testing
- Adhere and adapt to any legislative requirements and compliance to policies regarding the COVID-19 pandemic
- Other duties as required

**Qualifications**:

- **Regulated Health Professional (RN/RPN/Lab Technician/Physician/Pharmacist; etc.)**:

- Knowledge of current best practice IPAC Procedures
- Experience in LTC considered an asset
- Current vulnerable sector screening; valid within 6 months
- Basic knowledge of swab collection and/or COVID-19 testing procedures as well as signs and symptoms of COVID-19
- Able to wear PPE for long periods of time to conduct point of care PCR/Rapid Antigen testing of staff, students, support workers, caregivers, and general visitors to the LTC facility.
- Knowledge of Excel
- Good organization and time management
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 8-12 months
Part-time hours: 15-22.5 per week

**Salary**: $25.00 per hour
