**The Opportunity**:
Red River Co-op is recruiting for the position of **Grocery Clerk **at our **Seasons Food Store **located at **755 Sterling Lyon Pkwy**, **in** Winnipeg**. This position reports to the Grocery Manager.** **The **Grocery Clerk **adds value to our Co-operative by being responsible for delivering world-class customer service; ordering and stocking grocery merchandise; merchandising and displaying packaged product; receiving and unloading trucks; and maintaining department cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
Essential responsibilities of the position include the following:
- Maintain sections of merchandise (non-perishable food, dairy, frozen food, general merchandise, health and beauty, bulk food) as assigned in an effective manner. Ensure first-in, first-out rotation is followed at all times, and that close-dated product is reported to the Grocery Manager.
- Ensure the Grocery Department is properly stocked with merchandise and faced at all times.
- Receive, inspect, and store orders upon delivery to ensure all product is immediately stored in proper temperature-controlled environment.
- Present a neat, clean, fresh, well-merchandised department and related work areas (sales floor, end caps, coolers, freezers, receiving area, warehouse, etc.).
We are looking to fill one vacancy for this position. This vacancy requires open availability, and will receive 15 to 25 hours or more, most weeks.
