- As part of the Newfoundland and Labrador Health Services, Digital Health provides quality information to health professionals, the public, researchers, and health system decision makers. Through collaboration with the health system, we support the development of data and technical standards, maintain key health databases, carry out analytics and evaluation, and support health research. We support healthcare within Newfoundland and Labrador, including patients and communities through the delivery of information technology (IT) and digital health services applied in the healthcare system to provide quality care. Our mandate includes the development and implementation of a confidential and secure provincial electronic health record as well as other provincial clinical information programs, including the change management required to support adoption by end user clinicians.**About the Role**- Develop, implement, and maintain provincial EHR policies and guidelines.
- Consult with and support NLHS staff across all zones, clinicians, and management teams to ensure understanding and compliance with provincial EHR policies and guidelines.
- Develop, implement, and maintain an ongoing continuous quality improvement processes.
- Support, develop and maintain the provincial data repositories related to laboratory, medical imaging, and clinical document information.
- Develop and execute testing plans for EHR system maintenance, enhancement, and expansion.
- Monitor and resolve errors related to the processing of laboratory, medical imaging, and clinical documentation messages from source systems.
- Support, develop, implement, and maintain related standards within provincial EHR and integrated data sources such as the regional health information systems.

**About You**
- Your education and experience include:
- A diploma or degree in a health or health information/informatics field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a progressively responsible health care environment role.
- You have the following skills and abilities:
- Strong communication, interpersonal and networking skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in an organized manner.
- Excellent written and presentation skills.
- Ability to facilitate decision making and building consensus.
- Considerable knowledge of health care delivery processes and practices.
- Knowledge of a provincial health care system practices related to data such as encounters, laboratory results, medical imaging reports, clinical documents, and immunizations.
- Knowledge of a provincial health care environment and familiarity with national EHR initiatives and standards is preferred.
- It would be an asset if you have the following:
- Experience with Meditech information systems (specifically laboratory results and/or medical imaging and clinical documentation).
- HL7 (health level 7) training.
- Local Observation Identifiers Names and Codes (LOINC) training.
- Information Management/Technology education and/or training.
