Early Childhood Educator

Milton, Canada Sweet pea daycare Full time

Responsibilities:

- Plan and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities for children in the early childhood education setting
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Provide individualized attention and support to each child
- Monitor and assess children's progress, documenting observations and maintaining records
- Collaborate with parents and communicate regularly about their child's development and progress
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
- Follow all licensing regulations and adhere to the center's policies and procedures

**Skills**:

- Strong organizational skills to effectively manage classroom activities, materials, and resources
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that promote learning and development
- Bilingual skills in English and French are a

**Requirements**:

- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in early childhood education preferred
- Previous experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Knowledge of child development milestones and appropriate teaching strategies
