QA/qc Manager

Galcon Precast Ltd has immediate opening for Quality Assurance Specialist. Our company is seeking a motivated, hard-working individual to work at our Precast Manufacturing plant located in Duncan BC on Vancouver Island.

The individual will be required to have a range of skills to perform their role focusing on maintaining quality and craftsmanship.
- Perform routine quality control tests on raw materials such as aggregates, cement, and admixtures to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Review all incoming test reports and certificates of compliance for raw materials and ensure they meet CSA requirements.
- Run Cylinder break machine on core samples that the individual will be responsible for pouring and organizing.
- Collect, record and store all results of cylinder break results and pre/post inspection check lists. It will be their responsibility to manage this data accurately and in an organized manner electronically.
- Pre and Post Inspection
- Check over selected forms being built in the morning.
- Check over selected products that have been stripped.
- Collect, record, and store all results of cylinder break results and pre/post inspection check lists. It will be their responsibility to manage this data accurately and in an organized manner electronically.
- Confirming items in yard have been properly labelled with the required labels.
- Support team in confirming items for orders have been all loaded.- One-Two years experience in a QA role is preferred.
- Diploma or education in related field is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong time management and organization skills.
- A self-starter, having self-discipline and the ability to work under mínimal supervision.
- Team player.
- High School Certificate required.
- Drivers License

**Salary**: $70,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
