Job Title: Hostess
**Responsibilities**:
1. Greeting Guests: Warmly welcome guests as they enter the restaurant.
2. Seating Arrangements: Manage seating chart, escort guests to their tables, and ensure proper spacing to optimize table turnover.
3. Waitlist Management: If the restaurant is busy, manage the waitlist, provide estimated wait times, and communicate with guests.
4. Answering Phones: Handle reservations, inquiries, and take-out orders over the phone.
5. Menu Presentation: Hand out menus to guests and answer questions about the breakfast menu, daily specials, or any dietary restrictions.
6. Coordination with Waitstaff: Communicate table availability and guest preferences to servers and other staff.
7. Cleanliness: Maintain the cleanliness of the entrance, host stand, and waiting areas.
8. Customer Service: Ensure guests have a positive experience by addressing concerns or resolving any issues.
9. Cash Handling: Occasionally handle payments for reservations or to-go orders.
10. Shift Coordination: Manage guest flow to avoid long wait times and ensure efficient table turnover during peak breakfast hours.

- Basic knowledge of point-of-sale systems (helpful, but not always required).
Working Hours:
- Early morning to mid-afternoon (breakfast hours), weekends and holidays typically required.
Dress Code:
- Professional, clean, and neat appearance; often provided by the restaurant or requiring a business-casual standard.
**Job Type**: Part-time
