**Overview**:
As a Landscape Foreman, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of landscape projects, managing a team of laborers, and ensuring that work is completed efficiently and to high-quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of landscaping techniques and equipment, and the ability to effectively communicate with both team members and clients.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Project Management**: Coordinate and manage landscape projects from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- **Team Leadership**: Supervise a team of landscapers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure that work is completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.
- **Site Preparation**: Oversee site preparation activities such as clearing, grading, and excavation, ensuring that all work is conducted in accordance with safety regulations and project requirements.
- **Installation and Maintenance**: Direct the installation of various landscape features, including planting, irrigation systems, hardscapes, and lighting. Monitor ongoing maintenance activities to ensure that landscapes remain in optimal condition.
- **Equipment Management**: Manage and maintain landscaping equipment, ensuring that tools are properly maintained, serviced, and operated safely by team members.
- **Quality Control**: Conduct regular inspections of work sites to ensure that landscaping projects meet quality standards and client expectations. Address any issues or concerns promptly and effectively.
- **Client Communication**: Interact with clients to discuss project specifications, provide updates on project progress, and address any questions or concerns they may have. Maintain positive relationships with clients to ensure satisfaction and promote repeat business.
- **Budgeting and Cost Control**: Assist in estimating project costs, tracking expenses, and managing budgets to ensure that projects are completed within financial constraints.
- **Safety Compliance**: Enforce safety protocols and procedures to minimize the risk of accidents or injuries on job sites. Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to promote a culture of safety among team members.
- **Availability**:Have to be available 6 days a week.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in landscaping or a related field, with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of landscaping techniques, materials, and equipment.
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, plans, and specifications.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to landscaping operations.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Qualifications & Skills
- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent
- Reliable, punctual, & hardworking
- Strong verbal skills
- Must be highly productive
- WHMIS (mandatory)
- Standard First Aid (preferred).
- Effective time management and multi-tasking skills
- Experience with towing landscape trailers
- Oblige to the Health & Safety rules and regulations
- Comfortable working with a team and individually
- Must have an ARZ licence with a clean record
- Reliable transportation to work

**Education**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Additional certifications or training in landscaping, horticulture, or a related field preferred.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform strenuous physical tasks in various weather conditions.
- Stamina and endurance to work long hours outdoors.

**Job Types**: Fixed term contract, Seasonal
Contract length: 7 months

**Salary**: $21.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45 - 50 per week
