REgroup, a division of The Municipal Group of Companies, is an Environmental Services company that services the HRM. For over 20 years, the REgroup has been providing integrated waste collection, management, and recycling services. We are currently looking for a Roll-Off Truck Driver to join our team based out of our Lower Sackville, NS location.
**Job Summary**:
The Roll-Off Driver is responsible for the hauling of waste from industrial sites. The driver is responsible for performing assigned duties on container delivery and hauling of industrial roll-off routes.
**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:
Responsible for daily pre and post trip inspections
Perform driver check-ins at day’s end to ensure complete and accurate paperwork completion
Ensure routes are completed in a timely and safe manner
Ensure that all protocols are followed while dumping loads at municipal recycling/waste facilities
Required to climb up ladder on truck to tarp loads
Required to be able to lift the Roll-Off hook and attach it to the bin, requires bending and ability to lift 25-50 pounds
Perform other duties as required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience:
1-2 years driving experience in Waste Collection sector
Must possess minimum Class 3 Drivers license with air brake endorsement
Experience driving manual transmission
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Strong customer focus
Proven ability to multi-task & ability to prioritize tasks
Knowledge of industry considered an asset
Willingness to pick up shifts and work additional hours as required
Clean drivers abstract
Working safely is a condition of employment.
