GP JOULE is currently seeking a **Mechanical Foreman **based out of our **Alberta Project Sites**.**

The Mechanical Foreman will be responsible for overseeing the work of their team. They ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget, while also ensuring that quality standards are met.

The role requires an individual who shares our company values, is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, and is excited to help us tackle challenges to succeed in our business.

**You will use your expertise to**:

- Adhere to all Health, Safety and Environmental rules, policies, and regulations.
- Attend systematically daily site safety talks and stretch and flex.
- Follow strictly instructions and supervision on installation, methods, and procedures for installation of the foundation, racking, modules, and other mechanical components.
- Build/install mechanical racking structures, modules, and others according to the construction schedule and plans and track presence, productivity and report to your manager gaps/deficiencies/work issues when applicable with root causes and possible solutions/corrective measures.
- Perform quality inspections as required (visual inspection, record torque values, mark torques, contain, identify visual defects, etc.) on work completed and submit daily to QC administration staff for input and tracking.
- Ensure field information on progress, issues, etc. is communicated systematically and immediately to your manager.
- Participate in work site inspections and installations, quarantine or identify all defective installations and submit a written report to your manager.
- Ensure all tools are charged and readily available for each day or the next task.
- Adjust work schedule to accommodate special or unexpected site production events.
- Display Consistent professional demeanor and representation.
- Perform any other tasks or duties as requested by the Manager.
- 4 - 5 years of experience in a commercial setting
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures, materials, and management principles
- Comfortable with ladders and heights.
- OSHA 30 Certification
- Clean driving record and current license and personal transportation
- Ability to work in a challenging and physically demanding environment, flexible and able to adapt to ever-changing conditions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Excellent customer interaction when dealing directly with clients and leads.
- Ability to work well with others and embody the team mentality.
- Basic computer knowledge is a plus (excel, word, google drive, CAD)

**Where you will be working, your work schedule, and other important information**:
The base hours of work are a regular 44-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs.

You may be expected to travel across Canada (Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan, British Columbia, Nova Scotia), and US (primarily Mid-West, North-East) from time to time as an engineering representative of the Company.
