**Primary Responsibilities**
- Work closely with the Quality Management team and Lead operators on all elements of hemp and cannabis processing activities.
- Participate in operational and compliance audits on a regular basis.
- Conduct internal audits (self-inspections), under the guidance of the Quality Manager
- Involved in records review and report findings.
- Prepare samples for analysis to third-party laboratories.
- Facilitate quality investigations and conduct Out of Specification (OOS) investigations.
- In-depth audits of production facilities, including oral communication with staff, and follow-up with key personnel.
- Ensure SOPs are being followed, including for sanitation, hygiene, equipment & building.
- Track and update SOP system to ensure adequate tools are available for appropriate training and understanding.
- Implement the applicable sections of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), such as process validation, and equipment qualification.
- Assist in investigating deviations and assignment of corrective and preventive actions.

**Qualifications**
- A Bachelor or diploma preferably in biological or chemical science with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a regulated (GLP, GMP, HACCP) manufacturing environment.
- Experience with cannabis, food or pharmaceutical with a quality focus is considered an asset.
- Self-directed, capable of multi-tasking, detail-oriented, analytical thinking abilities, and strong problem identification and problem resolution skills;
- Strong speaking and technical writing skills.
- High degree of attention to detail and accuracy, a high level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability, with demonstrated qualities of ethics and due diligence;
- Interpret documents such as regulations relating to food and cannabis, laboratory results, and procedure manuals.
- Knowledge of computer hardware and software including spreadsheets and word documents.
- Acceptable results to a Criminal Record Check.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 18 months

Pay: $50,000.00-$57,000.00 per year
