**Duties and Responsibilities**:
Responsible to meet/contact students, assess concerns and challenges, counsel and make referrals to support services on and off campus

**Qualifications**:
The incumbent must possess the following qualifications:

- Knowledge of student care and support program design, delivery, assessment, and evaluation methodologies, processes, and practices
- Knowledge of relevant governing legislation, collective agreements, policies and procedures
- Knowledge of office as well as the broader university academic units, departments, and divisions
- Knowledge of office productivity software and databases, internet browsers and search engines, discipline-specific software, enterprise software, and technology devices
- Knowledge of cultural competency and diversity

**Education and Experience**:
The above is normally acquired through the completion of:

- Completion of master’s degree in social work or counselling
- Minimum of five year of previous student support and counselling program and service experience plus two years of supervisory or leadership experience
