The Regina Open Door Society (RODS) is a non-profit organization that provides settlement and integration services to refugees and immigrants in Regina. RODS is committed to meeting the needs of newcomers by offering programs and services to enable them to achieve their goals and participate fully in the larger community.
- We are located in the City of Regina on Treaty 4 land, which is recognized as the traditional territory of the nêhiyawak/Cree, Nahkawē/Saulteaux, Anihšināpēk, Dakota, Lakota, Nakoda, and the homeland of the Métis Nation._

Position Summary

The **Casual Early Childhood Educator** provides daily programming, care and supervision to children ages 6 weeks to 6 years in the Regina Open Door Child Care Centre on an as-needed basis to fill in for staff vacation and other absences, within a team environment according to SK Early Learning and Child Care regulations and centre policies and procedures.

**Requirements**:
This individual must be professional, friendly, possess excellent communication skills and have knowledge of and experience with child-centered, play-based early childhood practices. Early Childhood Educators must be able to work collaboratively and cooperatively within a team setting.
- Saskatchewan Early Childhood Education Certification
- Level 1 is preferred
- experience working in a Canadian daycare is preferred
- Valid First Aid/CPR C
- Criminal Record Check-including a Vulnerable Sector Check
- Knowledge of/experience with Saskatchewan child care regulations and the Early Learning Program Guide (ELPG)
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Good oral and written communication skills
