Geomatics Technician and Cad Drafter

Monteith & Sutherland have been providing wide range of engineering geomatics services throughout Ontario for over 50 years. We are reputable and well recognised experts in high precision engineering surveys, including deformation monitoring, tunnel surveying and in establishment of any-scale geodetic horizontal and vertical control networks.

**The main duties will be the following**:
Geomatics Technician will work alongside a Project Manager to provide process and quality check control networks validation and topographic surveys.
- Calculate construction layout based on design drawings.
- Create pre-engineering, topographic, and cadastral plans.
- Ensure that plans and deliverables comply with relevant standards and drafting requirements.
- Analyze and interpret data from field surveys and topographic surveys.
- Perform QC/QA on data collected from the field and on all final deliverables of projects.
- Prepare reports for clients and Project Managers.
- Provide feedback with field personnel with respect to collection methodology and quality control issues.

**Required qualifications**:

- Relevant post-secondary education
- Experienced with AutoCAD Civil 3D and MicroStation.
- Proficient with StarNet, Cyclone, and QGIS
