Job description

**Loss Prevention protects the assets of a store against prohibited activity and works with the Leadership team to maintain operational controls to reduce shortage and damages.**
- **Loss Prevention Investigator / Security Guard Duties**_
- Provide friendly, professional and knowledgeable service to clients as needed.
- Conduct surveillance on the sales floor to identify, observe, and detaining or deter individuals engaging in prohibited activity on private property.
- Adhere to all laws and policies concerning detentions, search and seizure and the preservation of evidence.
- Prepare reports relative to any incidents and merchandise recoveries.
- Develop and maintain a professional relationship with all internal partners, local law enforcement agencies, and other retailers.
- Testify in court on behalf of the company, in any case, criminal or civil, to which the LP is summoned.
- **Skills and Qualifications**_
- 1 year of asset protection/loss prevention experience in a retail environment.
- Hold a valid Security Guard License in Ontario
- Hold a valid First Aid/CPR Training
- Possess strong written, verbal, interviewing, listening and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain composure and provide effective coaching in the moment on loss prevention techniques.
- Proficiency in Windows, Word and Excel is desirable.
- Availability to work flexible hours and days, including evenings, weekends, and holidays is essential.
- Availability to work at multiples locations within a market.
