**Responsibilities**:
The Marine Painter/Sandblaster plays a critical role in the maintenance and preservation of marine vessels and structures

Major responsibilities include:

- Perform sandblasting operations to remove rust, old coatings, and marine growth from vessel surfaces.
- Ensure proper adhesion, thickness, and coverage to provide effective protection against corrosion and environmental factors.
- Perform routine inspections, cleanings, and maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and safety.
- Adhere to all maritime safety regulations, including those related to hazardous materials and environmental protection.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safe work practices at all times.
- Participate in safety training and drills as required by company policies and regulations.
- Conduct visual inspections and quality checks on completed work to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
- Touch up any imperfections or areas of concern to maintain the integrity and appearance of coatings.
- Complete required documentation for regulatory compliance and record-keeping purposes.

You Possess:

- Proven experience as a marine painter and sandblaster, preferably in shipyards or marine repair facilities.
- Familiarity with marine coatings, surface preparation techniques, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in operating marine-specific sandblasting and painting equipment.
- Ability to work effectively in marine environments, including on vessels in dry docks or floating docks.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality workmanship.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with team members.
- Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including confined spaces and at heights.
- Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
- Willingness to work irregular hours and overtime as needed to meet project deadlines.
- Understanding of maritime regulations and environmental requirements related to painting and coating operations.
- Familiarity with industry standards for marine coatings, including anti-corrosion and anti-fouling products.
