**When**:
CGC is hiring immediately for part and full time kitchen positions. Our kitchen is open from 9am to 4:30pm, seven days a week. We can accommodate different shifts and schedules.

**Wage**: $18/h

**Duties**:

- Assist with all meal preparation
- Cook and package meals for freezing and resale
- Complete general kitchen cleaning duties
- Bake deserts
- Ensure the kitchen is set-up for any rentals
- Assist with planning, organizing, and implementing other kitchen tasks including dehydrating, canning, and preserving food.

**Working Conditions**:

- This position will work primarily in a kitchen environment. Standing for long periods of time will be required.

**Experience and Skills**:

- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with the Kitchen Manager, other staff, participants, volunteers, and community members
- Versatile food skills and knowledge including meal prep, cooking, preserving, processing, and baking and a certificate/diploma in food skills is an asset.
- Workable knowledge of Word, Excel, Zoom, and the Internet.
- Two or more years’ experience at a community non-profit organization is an asset

**Salary**: $18.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
