DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
**In-House development**:
Architect, write and debug Structured Text language (SCL) PLC logic codes with an emphasis on generating code that is organized, structured, documented, maintainable and reusable. PLC code will interact with subsystems such as conveyors, MES (manufacturing Execution Systems) and 3rd party equipment.

**Technical Support**:

- Respond in a timely manner to system emergencies.
- Support PLC, MES and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) interaction with each other.
- Diagnose and remedy SCADA interruptions, faults and failures both software and hardware.
- System maintenance including software backups, and hardware upgrades.

**Operational Support**:

- Work closely with Operations to ensure SCADA system is performing to an acceptable standard.
- Provide support to operations and solve technical problems(troubleshooting)

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Degree or Diploma in Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, Computer, Mechatronics or Automation
- Over 5 years of Industrial Automation experience.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in Inductive Automation (ignition), MES and Structured Text Programming using Siemens PLC (TIA Portal)
- 2 - 3 years of experience of interactions between MES, PLC and ERP
- Experience with Field Bus Networks (Ethernet IP, Profinet, Serial Communication, Bluetooth)
- Experience with servers, Networking equipment and associated equipment.
