**Mental Health Counsellor**

**A: Minimum Qualifications**:
1. A Child and Youth Worker Diploma, or alternative Diploma or Degree which is determined to be equivalent by the Agency.

**B: Minimum Experience**:
1. Experience in the delivery of mental health intervention with children, youth, and families.

2. Experience with children and youth who experience behavioral, emotional, and social difficulties.

3. Experience with therapeutic modalities and evidence based/evidence informed practice.

**C: Minimum Skills and Abilities**:
1. Excellent assessment, verbal, and written communication skills.

2. Interpersonal skills, problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills

3. Reflection and commitment to continuous learning.

4. Possess a valid driver’s licence and have access to a personal vehicle necessary for travel to conduct job duties.
