**Bookkeeper**

**Agassiz-Harrison Community Services Society**

The Bookkeeper for the Agassiz-Harrison Community Services Society is an integral part of the Administration team. Responsibilities include recording all financial transactions for the Society.

Specific duties include maintaining accounts by verifying, allocating and posting financial transactions; reconciling bank accounts; maintaining historical records by filing documents; and contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed; as well as:

- Preparing the bi-weekly payroll, Record of Employment, Vacation schedules.
- Enrolling new employees in group benefits.
- Preparing bank deposits and delivering to bank.
- Bank, receivables, and payables reconciliations.
- Responding to inquiries and requests regarding payroll and other bookkeeping duties.
- Maintaining and updating records, contact information and work processes.
- Ensuring that program standards, guidelines and policies of the organization are maintained.
- Participating in staff professional development/training, supervision and administrative meetings as scheduled as well as attends monthly staff meetings.
- Perform other work-related duties as may be assigned.

This position requires Bookkeeping and Business Administration Certification or equivalent education combined with work experience of five (5) years.

**Hours of Work**: 35 hours per week
**Hourly Rate**: $ 23.47
**Start Date**: As soon as possible

- Bookkeeping: 1 year (preferred)
