Overview:
Under the direction of security supervisors and managers, the incumbent provides external security coverage ensuring that adequate protection is provided for the safety of patrons and team members. Safeguards the assets of the organization as well as those of the racing community and team members. Promotes an outgoing, friendly guest oriented demeanor at all times. This position is Monday and Tuesday only, 14:30-23:00.

**Responsibilities**:

- Exhibits conduct in accordance with all Alcohol Gaming Commission Ontario (AGCO) Regulations.
- Checks in with Building Security Officers at the start shifts
- Patrols back stretch during racing events, and all parking lots at other times
- Issue Parking Warnings (Input into excel sheet)
- Respond to security related calls originating from outside the casino (medicals, intox)
- Completes Incident reports of any situations handled
- Calls By-Law Enforcement when required
- Completes vehicle log, including circle check and fluid level check
- Completes Daily Activity Log of the whole shift
- Reports vehicle problems to supervisor
- Reports all accidents to supervisor/manager
- Cleans vehicle after every shift
- Ensures that the vehicle is not to be used to pursue other vehicles
- Ensures that the vehicle stays on Casino property at all times
- Roams all parking lots, including employee’s to look for suspicious activity/anyone consuming alcohol or cannabis
- Responsible for ensuring that supervisors are notified of any substance use ( alcohol or cannabis)
- Assists with any intox calls awaiting a sober driver or cab
- Demonstrate actions and behaviors that reinforce the Company’s Mission and Values of Communication, Integrity, Fun, Respect, Accountability, Passion and Dedication.
- Ensure prompt and discreet notification to managers of any observation of illegal acts or internal ethics violations.
- Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS
- A minimum of a post-secondary diploma in Law and Security
- A current First Aid/CPR Certificate, along with Non Violent Intervention Technique Certificate
- G Class Driver License
- The ability to obtain registration as a Category 1 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario

SKILLS
- Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of computer software packages
- Previous gaming experience or knowledge of the gaming industry

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to walk distances.
- May be exposed to environmental factors including, but not limited to excessive heat and cold.
