**Job Summary**
Heartland Feeds is a family owned and operated Livestock Nutrition and Agronomy Service business based out of Ponoka, AB. We are currently looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team in the position of Agronomy Consultant. We strive to produce high quality livestock nutrition products, agronomy services and products for our clients across the Western Canada.

**Responsibilities**
- Implement Heartland Feeds Agronomy Service Package
- Conduct sales and service calls to enhance value through agronomy solutions
- Develop and implement crop management tools, strategies, and services
- Monitor the progress of weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual objectives
- Provide support to the animal nutrition team with agronomy insights
- Communicate with clients and evaluate their agronomy needs
- Analyze consumer behavior and adjust product and consulting positioning
- Handle grievances from customers
- Research emerging technologies and utilize information to update service and product offerings
- Create reports, analyze and interpret retail data, such as revenues, expenses, and competition
- Communicate daily with the Administrative Manager and Outside Sales Consultants

**Requirements**:

- Passion for Agriculture
- Post Secondary Education relating to Agronomy and Crop production
- CCA or P.Ag. accreditation, or ability to obtain
- Proficiency in scouting customer fields and accurately identifying weeds, insects, disease and nutritional issues.
- Ability to interpret soil test results and create fertilizer and crop plans based off this information
- Physically fit, and capable of lifting 25 Kg
- Positive work attitude, strong work ethic, attention to detail and a willingness to learn
- Ability to collaborate with a team while also being self-motivated to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Must be comfortable to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc.
- Satisfactory Driver’s Abstract and Criminal Record Check
- Class 5 Driver’s License.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
