Job DescriptionUnder the general supervision of the WorkBC leadership team, the Case Manager (Floater) is responsible for working closely with job seekers to conduct intakes, assess service suitability, develop and implement action plans, and secure employment. The Case Manager (Floater) will step in to provide coverage support to the WorkBC catchment during times of high client demand and/or staffing shortages caused by role vacancies and/or staff vacations.

The Case Manager (Floater) position in unique in that it will provide services and support to the WorkBC catchment when coverage is required, such as during vacations and role vacancies and will not oversee a caseload on a long-term, ongoing basis. The Case Manager (Floater) will focus on intakes, action plan follow-up, and employment placements and will contribute to the overall goals and objectives of the project. The position is part of a multi-agency team who supports linking clients to employment and training opportunities, while upholding the YWCA's mission and values.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Provide temporary caseload coverage (client follow ups and meetings) during times of high client demand and/or role vacancies.
- Administer Client Needs Assessments and Disability-Related Employment Needs Assessments to reduce client wait times
- Assess client needs and develop an individualized action plan to meet goals
- Support clients to achieve sustainable employment including addressing any client barriers and building on client strengths
- Collect employment details and documentation from clients when sustainable employment is achieved
- Accurate and timely reporting on client progress, and milestones using databases,
- Maintain an organized and current client filing system including managing follow up
- Keep abreast of labour market trends, employment issues, community resources, job training, and employment opportunities
- Work as part of a multi-faceted, multi-agency team to deliver a comprehensive employment program designed to meet individual needs of clients
- Connect clients to needed employment programming, community resources and wraparound supports
- Ensure file consistency and documentation
- Connect clients with internal workshop schedule
- Ensure safety plan and basic needs are in place and work with clients to refer to counselling, community resources, and any other appropriate referrals as appropriate
- Familiar with and able to work with clients using the latest technology
- Adhering to onsite Health and Safety Procedures
- Other duties as required

**What you’ll need**:

- Passion for helping job seekers achieve their goals through providing holistic supports
- Knowledge of community resources and the labour market
- Case Management and/or employment counselling experience an asset
- Relevant post-secondary degree or diploma, or a combination of relevant education and experience
- Works well independently and as part of a team
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients in person and virtually with proven ability to document progress notes
- Able to show initiative, flexibility and demonstrate a positive attitude towards change and work
- A valid clear criminal record check (including working with vulnerable populations) is required.
- The YWCA Metro Vancouver’s COVID-19 vaccination policy is currently suspended and as a result, vaccination from COVID-19 is not required at this time. However, should circumstances change and the YWCA deem it necessary to reintroduce such policy, you may be required to provide proof of vaccination against COVID-19 in order to be eligible to continue performing your duties.
