**General Description**:
Responsible for providing expertise and effectively integrating learning technologies into the University environment. Tests and implements new learning technology resources and provides training and assistance to users.
**Reprsentative Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Provide faculty, instructors, and staff with useful development opportunities across programs for integrating digital learning resources and enhancing curriculum material.
- Train faculty, instructors, and staff on the use of learning technologies.
- Administer servers for the faculty’s online projects and demonstrations.
- Create and deliver development sessions and presentations to faculty, instructors, and staff regarding new learning technologies.
- Operate and demonstrate the use of a variety of multimedia equipment used in instructional delivery and e-classrooms including, but not limited to, audiovisual, videoconferencing, and web conferencing systems.
- Act as a resource in the support of the University's learning and course management systems.
- Test new learning technologies before they are implemented and in production.
- Facilitate and participate in meetings with relevant committees and groups.
- Create training materials for staff and faculty.
- Provide recommendations and guidance regarding online learning technologies.
- Complete website maintenance and content management activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Provide consultations and recommendations to departments regarding product choices.
- Provide documentation for technical procedures.
- Complete work order and service reports for technical support and parts provided.
- Write technology surveys, evaluations, and summary reports.
- Develop content for web pages offering technical documentation and education for faculty and staff on the use of learning technologies and safe computing.
- Customize collaborative online spaces including, but not limited to, web logs, websites and matrices for departments and special project groups within the faculty.
- Create scenarios for lab simulations.
- Create videos and standalone resources for training, technical instruction, and evaluation.
- Provide quotes to clients regarding server hosting costs, consultation fees, and software and hardware costs.
- Conduct literature and web-based searches to locate relevant documents for teaching technologies.
- Conduct technology evaluation trials and create lists of potential products to be considered for University use.
- Consult technical documentation detailing product specifications and configurations.
- Remain current with frequent developments in hardware and software technology.

- Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia, Computer Science, or a related field.
