The Alzheimer Society of Brant, Haldimand Norfolk, Hamilton Halton (ASBHNHH) is looking for a “Creative Expressions Facilitator” to develop, deliver and evaluate our Creative Expressions Program which is based on the MoMA Alzheimer’s Project. This program will offer a series of classes for people in the early to mid-stage of dementia and their partner, friend, or family member.

**Hours**:3 hours per week (per community) when programs are running.

The salary range for this job is $22.00 - $33.63 per hour plus 6% vacation pay.

**Specialized Knowledge and Skill Requirements**:

- Experience providing group programs for persons with dementia and their care partners
- Current knowledge on dementia
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a self-directed manner with a mínimal amount of supervision
- Ability to work cooperatively, as a member of a team with staff, volunteers and other organizations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational and problem solving skills
- Clear verification of criminal references for the vulnerable sector
- Ability to speak French or a second language is considered an asset

**Educational Requirements**:

- Diploma in Art Therapy preferred, or diploma/degree in Recreation Therapy with an arts background, or health studies diploma/degree with an arts background
