Position**:Business Development Lead - Solar Carport and Canopy Systems**
Location: Kitchener, ON
Base Salary Range: $60k - $70k Annual Salary, depending on experience and qualifications.

to invest and take part in building solutions to combat climate change. The Co-op has raised over $24 million in
investments from its 800+ members, on its way to developing a portfolio of over $45 million of renewable energy
projects. We are proud that CED Co-op is the first co-operative in Canada to become a public corporation,
enabling these investments to be held in RRSP, RESP, TFSA and RRIF investment portfolios. Future projects
under development for the Co-op include community-based net-metering and potentially building efficiency
projects such as geo-thermal heating and cooling, EV charging-as-a-service plus many more areas of opportunity.

VCT Group is growing. Leading the design, specification and sales of VCT’s proprietary Heliostation line of solar
carport and canopy systems, the Business Development Lead will develop opportunities to sell and distribute
Heliostation systems to solar developers across North America. This position involves working out of our
Kitchener office under the direction of the Business Development Manager. Come make an impact in our

- Become the champion of VCT’s Heliostation line of solar carport and solar canopy systems for industrial,
- Develop productive relationships with solar project developers, EPCs, consulting engineers and

architects across Canada and the US, supporting the integration of Helioscope solar canopies.
- Analyze geographic data sources to identify design suitability, and provide preliminary Heliostation

system designs, product pricing and specifications.
- Organize and respond to inbound inquiries regarding Heliostation systems.
- Engage with existing customers, listening for needs, identifying additional business opportunities
- Develop and deliver compelling sales enablement and product profile materials and presentations
- Generate sales leads through best-in-class customer interaction including persistent, timely and
- organized follow-up on leads, requests and proposals- Build strategic relationships to understand and be at the forefront of the solar structure engineering

industry, respond to changes coming to the competitive landscape and identify new opportunities
- Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering, business or environment related field.
- 3+ Years of business development, project development or sales experience in direct or reasonably
- related field.- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization, including
- executives.- Strong organizational, problem solving, time management, and adaptability skills.
- Ability to identify problems and develop multiple creative alternatives for problem resolution.
- Able to work independently with tight timelines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, customer care and superior quality of work
- Experience with or understanding of construction and/or project development, especially within the steel

building or structural building industry.
- Experience in sustainability project development processes.
- Experience working with consulting engineering, architecture or property management industries.
- Experience with or understanding of renewable energy systems and/or electrical systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of energy regulatory and environmental policy frameworks.
- Experience in complementary technologies to solar power (battery and energy storage, air-source and
- ground-source heat pumps, electric vehicle integration and/or fleet electrification, etc.)- Experience developing sales and pricin
