Working in close collaboration with the maintenance teams, supervisors, and suppliers, the maintenance planner ensures the development of the schedules, the coordination of resources, and the optimization of the processes to ensure efficient and effective maintenance. The key responsibilities of the maintenance planner include planning the work, coordinating the resources, and optimizing the processes, monitoring the activities, managing priorities, interdeparmental collaboration, drawing up technical documents, managing suppliers, using management tools, and continuious improvement. The maintenance planner plays an essential role in the maximization of the availability of equipement, reduction of down time, and improvement of the reliability of the company’s equipment..

**Your responsibilities**:

- Planning the work: Develop and maintain the preventive and corrective maintenance schedules based on established priorities, production requirements, and resource constraints.
- Coordinating the resources: Collaborate with the maintenance teams, supervisors, and suppliers to ensure adequate availability of the labour, equipment, and parts necessary for the work.
- Optimizing the processes: Develop and improve the processes for planning and executing the maintenance work in order to ensure the efficient use of resources and reduce down time.
- Monitoring the activities: Ensure the tracking and documentation of the work carried out, realization time, associated costs, and results obtained to evaluate performances and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Managing priorities: Evaluate the emergencies and priorities according to the operational needs and allocate the resources consequently to minimize production interruptions.
- Interdepartmental collaboration: Work in close collaboration with the production, engineering, and procurement teams to plan the maintenance interventions and minimize impacts on operations.
- Drawing up technical documents: Develop and keep updated the procedures, check lists, maintenance plans, and other technical documents necessary for the execution of the work.
- Managing suppliers: Coordinate with the external service suppliers to plan the interventions, evaluate performance, and ensure compliance with the quality and safety standards.
- Using management tools: Master computer assisted maintenance management (GMAO) and other computer tools to track the activities, generate reports, and facilitate decision making.
- Continuous improvement: Participate in the identification of the opportunities for improvement of the maintenance processes, propose solutions, and implement corrective actions in order to optimize the reliability of the equipment and reduce maintenance costs.

**Your background**:

- University or college diploma in a relevant field such as engineering, industrial management, or associated domain.
- Previous experience in planning and coordinating maintenance work, preferably in an industrial environment.
- Extensive knowledge of methods of preventive and corrective maintenance.
- Command of the tools and software for planning maintenance, such as computer assisted maintenance management (GMAO) systems.
- Good understanding of the standards and regulations in matters of occupational health and safety, ISO9001, environment, electrical and building code (in accordance with the legislation in force).
