**Job Summary**:
The Fraser Valley Regional Integration Liaison, will report to the Associate Director, Pathways to Integration, and work in collaboration with the BC Newcomers Program (BCNSP) and the BC Services and Assistance for Humanitarian and Vulnerable Newcomers (BC SAF HAVN) to support Fraser Valley regional community engagement and partnerships for client groups including work/study permit holders, naturalized Canadian citizens, asylum seekers, refugee claimants, and Canadian-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET) visa holders. The role of the Regional Integration Liaison is pivotal in the regional planning and coordination of settlement services offered by BCNSP and BC SAF HAVN, and to provide a platform for collaboration, sharing expertise, information, challenges and opportunities.
**Your Role**:
- Collaborating with the BC Newcomers Program (BCNSP) and BC Services and Assistance for Humanitarian and Vulnerable Newcomers (BC SAF HAVN) front line settlement service providers to establish partnerships and support communication engagement for regional planning and coordination of services provided and required for the Fraser Valley (FV), for the cities of Abbotsford, Mission, Chilliwack, and Langley.
- Building capacity of the Fraser Valley region to welcome and integrate newcomers, contributing to the overall province-wide approach to ensure newcomers understand the local culture and customs, their rights in Canada, and government/community services available to them.
- Facilitating networking meetings (in person and online) with FV SAF HAVN & BCNSP to improve connections; networking and sharing best practices, sharing expertise, identifying challenges, and seeking to resolve issues of common concern.
- Leveraging existing expertise, collaboration and partnerships in established communities in the Fraser Valley region such as the Local Immigration Partnerships (LIPS) and community service organizations in Mission, Chilliwack, Langley, and Abbotsford to stay informed and bring regional issues to the table.
- Building awareness, familiarity and trust with external service providers and community organizations to ensure a successful outcome in engagement, mutually beneficial relationships and comprehensive settlement supports.
- Ensuring the project supports all BCNSP and BC SAF HAVN client groups including work permit holders, study permit holders, naturalized Canadian citizens, asylum seekers, refugee claimants, and Canadian-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET) visa holders.

**Our Offer**
- Wage: $28.00 per hour
- A permanent, part-time position at 25 hours per week, availability Mondays to Fridays, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

**Getting an Interview - you will be considered if you have**:
- A diploma in social services, human services or a related field, or an acceptable combination of education, training and experience.
- A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence, satisfactory Driver’s Abstract and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Experience working with newcomers to Canada.
- Experience liaising with multiple stakeholders at regional tables.
- Experience collecting data for analysis of service delivery needs.
- Experience in facilitation and networking.
**The Job Requires you to have**:
- Strong knowledge of issues faced by immigrants and refugees in the Fraser Valley (FV) community.
- Knowledge of BCNSP and BC SAF HAVN services.
- Ability to network and build relationships with local immigration partners and other FV community partners.
- Strong verbal, written, and active listening communication skills; able to communicate clearly and respectfully with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and varying levels of English.
