LIVE IN Position - Private 3 bedroom residence provided to successful contractor and family (value is included in the posting wage).

There is an exciting opportunity for a talented professional and their family to be the Resident Caretaker(s) Contractor at the beautiful Shawnigan Lake Beach Resort (SLBR).

The SLBR consists of a 31 unit complex, tennis courts, small 3 hole golf course, swimming pool building, boat dock swim beach facilities. Many large open grass areas, common areas, driveways and walkways. The buildings are 2 stories high with stairs access only to the upper floors. The resident caretaker’s house is also located on the property. Important to note that this position is for an independent contractor - NOT an employee of the Shawnigan Lake Beach Resort.

You will work to serve the property, owners and tenants of the SLBR condo complex and common property. Must be personable, hardworking, 'Jack of all Trades' with a track-record in providing exceptional customer service. As the successful Resident Caretaker you will need to have some exposure to working within a maintenance portfolio, previous maintenance experience and be competent with building maintenance, landscaping, mowing and weeding, basic plumbing, electrical, dry wall, painting, equipment maintenance, pool maintenance etc. You will need to be friendly, engaging and approachable and interact well with owners/tenants and visitors while performing your duties. You should be able to adhere to a consistent maintenance program and deal with adhoc issues as they arise. As the property is Private, this position is also responsible for overall supervision and security of any unregistered visitors or trespassers.

This position is Live-In only as the caretaker is expected to reside on the property to fulfill the terms of the contract.
